Specifically one comment Mr. Parsons gave me the confidence that this man not only respects different abilities, but different cultures as well. Answering questions at the Japan House during the Winter Paralympic Games in PyeongChang, IPC President Parsons said, "I think these games will be a combination of technology and traditional values. One aspect of Japan that I really love is its 'omotenashi,' the hospitality, the way you receive foreigners."

Mr. Parsons also said that those fans who attend the Tokyo 2020 Paralympic Games can expect that lives are going to change, "it's a once-in-a-lifetime experience." He encouraged everyone to watch the games and interact with athletes as much as they can.
