Fuji International Speedway Circuit will host Paralympic Road Cycling in Tokyo 2020

The 22nd and the final venue for the 2020 Summer Paralympic Games has been finalized on March 7th, 2018. According to Tokyo 2020 press release, the start and finish points have been determined to be at the Fuji International Speedway Circuit, near Mount Fuji.

The venue already regularly hosts international motorsports events and is not far away from the metropolitan area. The inclusion of the popular Fuji International Speedway is to inspire and engage athletes and spectators and to make spectators come back to the venue even after the games.

There are a total of 43 venues being utilized by Tokyo 2020 Olympic and Paralympic Games and 60% of these venues are existing facilities being reutilized and revamped for the games.

With this approach, Tokyo 2020 aims to create a "sustainable legacy for future generations."
