Japan House hosted over 120,000 visitors during the PyeongChang Winter Olympic Games in GANEUNG Olympic Park. The venue is designed to engage with sports fans in a new space and give them a glimpse of what they will experience at Tokyo 2020, including japanese cultural elements.

After a short closure since the Olympic Games to set it up for the next exhibit, Japan House opened on March 9th, this time to showcase the Paralympic Games and Paralympic athletes. In addition to the existing "Sports Photo Corner," and "Cultural Experience" corners, Japan House will also exhibit the recently announced Paralympic Mascots, selected by elementary students in February.

An interactive experience awaited visitors at the Photo Corner who could take photos of themselves playing wheelchair badminton and taekwando. There was also an exhibit on "Paralympic Athletes and their Official Sportswear" aiming to introduce some of the iconic Japanese Paralympic Athletes to visitors.
