Tokyo 2020 CEO Praises the Winter Paralympic Games Opening Ceremonies

Tokyo 2020 CEO Toshiro Muto praised the staff behind the PyeongChang Paralympic Games Opening Ceremonies and promises to continue the legacy in Tokyo 2020.

CEO of Tokyo 2020 Games Shared His Remarks after the Opening Ceremonies

In a statement released after the Winter Paralympics Opening Ceremonies, Tokyo 2020 CEO Toshiro Muto congratulated everyone involved in the ceremonies and shared his excitement for the next 10 days of Winter Paralympics Games that will feature "enthusiastic performances by athletes who have trained hard in the face of various challenges, and I am sure they will mark a new chapter in the Paralympic history."


CEO Muto also stated that the Paralympic Games will "inspire people around the world and help achieve a more inclusive society."


He concluded by reassuring everyone that his team would draw lessons from PyeongChang Games and to use them "to provide a stage at Tokyo 2020 Games that will allow para-athletes to shine and perform at their best." He reiterated their goall to "shape people's attitudes and promote a more inclusive society."
