World Para-Archery Championships Taking Place in the Netherlands

300 para archers from 52 countries are competing in the 's-Hertogenbosch town of the Netherlands. Athletes will compete not only for a chance to not only win a World Title, but to also qualify for Tokyo 2020 where there are 80 spots out of 140 places for 52 nations competing. This is the largest para world championships in the tournament's 21-year history. Competition is expected to be fierce.

There are 4 categories in which both women and men are competing:

- Recurve Open

- Compound Open

- W1

- Visually Impaired

Friday, June 7th will be the Tokyo 2020 Paralympic Games secondary qualification tournament. Saturday the 8th and Sunday 9th will be Compound open, W1 and Recurve Open finals.


In 2017 World Championships in Beijing, China, Turkish Para-Archery W1 Men's Team ranked No. 1. Individuals category, Jeff Fabry of USA was world champion in W1 Men.
